About Getaway Shootout
Getaway Shootout removes walking entirely. You lurch left or right, and that awkward movement is the whole game: three characters race to an escape vehicle across rooftops and construction sites, picking up weapons on the way to knock each other back down the level.
It rewards patience over speed. The player who rushes usually falls two platforms; the player who takes measured hops and shoots the leader tends to arrive first.

Tips for a better score
- Alternate the two keys rhythmically instead of mashing — that is how you climb reliably.
- Weapons are usually better used to knock the leader back than to defend yourself.
- Falling is rarely fatal, so take the risky jump when you are behind.
- In three-player free-for-all, let the front two fight and pass them both.

- Up to two humans on one keyboard, with computer-controlled opponents filling the rest of the race.
- Why can't my character walk?
- That is the design. Movement is limited to lurching left and right, which is the source of most of the comedy.

- Reach the getaway vehicle at the end of the level before the other racers.
